Step by step instructions
1. What to prepare:
Your identity card (or BankID / eObčanka for online submission), business address, business start date, health insurance card.
2. Fill out the Unified Registration form (Jednotný registrační formulář – JRF)
One form = all registrations at once. This form registers you at the Trade Licencing Office, tax authority, OSSZ (District Social Security Administration) and health insurance company. You can submit it online or at any trade licencing office.
The administrative fee is CZK 1,000
3. Check your CRN and data box
Your CRN should arrive within a few days, sometimes immediately. The government will automatically create a data box for you. Set up email notifications to make sure you don’t miss anything.
4. Find out the amount of advance payments and start paying
You’re required to pay social and health insurance from the first day of business. You will receive instructions by post or in your data box. Didn’t get anything? Contact the OSSZ and health insurance company yourself.
⚠️ Non-payment = penalty. Don’t wait for a notice.
