Offer description
- design, development, and maintenance of in-house Java solutions and applications to support key processes in the insurance sector
- involvement in an experienced internal team modernizing key solutions built on Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architecture
- design and development of new functionalities within backend applications
- refactoring existing code and increasing its readability, stability, and long-term maintainability
- utilization of technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Maven, Camunda, Dapr, and CI/CD tools
- implementation of established control mechanisms and secure development practices
- collaboration in a 50% onsite / 50% remote mode
Requirements
- at least 5 years of active experience in backend application development in Java
- advanced experience with:
- enterprise application development in Java
- design and implementation of solutions in Spring Boot
- refactoring existing code
- performing code reviews
- applying coding standards and development best practices
- development and maintenance of internal enterprise applications
- experience with:
- microservice solution development in Spring Cloud
- dependency management and build process in Maven
- automation of builds, testing, and deployment using CI/CD
- design or implementation of workflows in Camunda
- distributed application development using Dapr
- creation of technical, development, and testing documentation
- collaboration in an international and multicultural team
- advanced knowledge of:
- Java
- Spring Boot
- object-oriented programming principles
- design of sustainable and testable backend code
- English language at least at level B2
- knowledge of:
- software development lifecycle
- microservice architecture principles
- continuous integration and continuous deployment processes
- source code version control methods and tools
- team collaboration in an agile development environment
- advantageous:
- experience in a dynamic corporate environment
- experience in banking, insurance, or financial services
- experience with modernization and refactoring of larger enterprise applications
- ability to actively contribute to technical decisions and the development of less experienced colleagues
